Background
Sofia is a mathematician by training holding a BSc in Mathematics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece and a BSc in Biomathematics from Durham University in the UK.
After her studies she worked calibrating the theoretical model for a complete-case analysis of a four-period Williams crossover trial with data missing not at random. In 2020 she was introduced to the world of OHDSI and she has worked in related projects ever since: building ETLs to convert data to the OMOP CDM, assessing the data quality of the OMOPed data and spreading the knowledge with workshops and tutorials.
She is part of the DARWIN EU® Network Operations pillar working with data partners who join the network. Additionally, in her role in the Medical Informatics team, she is also involved in converting the Erasmus hospital data to the OMOP CDM and contributing in the projects using the in-house datasets.
