 Background

Marzyeh Amini is a scientific researcher with a background in epidemiology and clinical research. With a master’s degree in biomedical science from the Tehran University of Medical Science and extensive epidemiological methodological training from Erasmus University Medical Centre and University Medical Centre of Groningen, she has developed her skills in data analysis, designing and executing of (non)interventional studies, real-world evidence (RWE) generation, and project management. The focus of her PhD at Erasmus University was on the methodological challenges of measuring quality of care indicators and their implementation on clinical practice and how to overcome challenges such as missing data and database heterogeneity for benchmarking of hospitals performance.

In her current role as an epidemiologist at DARWIN EU® initiative, she is generating RWE in request by EMA by doing feasibility assessment, developing protocols and reports, and data results visualization through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
